The European Commission recently published an independent expert report identifying “100 radical innovation breakthroughs for the future”.
Combining machine learning algorithms and human evaluation, a team of experts identified central emerging developments.The report is a foresight study displaying the progress and outlook for 100 ground breaking social and technological innovations.
As Jean-Eric Paquet, Director General for Research and Innovation, European Commission, points out in his foreword to the report: "It provides a strategic resource to all those concerned with decisions on science, technology and innovation. For example, in EU research and innovation policy planning we need to understand the potential of breakthroughs as enablers or barriers to sustainability transitions."
Along with the report a graphic poster was published providing an overview on key findings.
